Whether you're raising a puppy, looking for better everyday manners or need somewhere you can feel completely comfortable leaving your dog, I offer personalized board and train and trainer-led boarding designed around your dog's individual needs.
LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR DOG
Before we decide what your dog needs, I want to understand who they are, what you're experiencing and what you're hoping to achieve.
That's why every new client starts with an Initial Behaviour Assessment. It gives us the opportunity to talk through your dog's personality, routines, behaviour, history and goals so I can recommend the service that makes the most sense for you both.
You don't need to know exactly what you need before you reach out. That's my job.
Rather than trying to fit training into an already busy routine, your dog gets focused time to practise important skills with me, while you receive guidance on how to continue building those skills once they're home.
There are two Board + Train options depending on where your dog is in their journey.
The puppy stage can be exciting, exhausting and sometimes a little overwhelming. You're trying to teach your puppy how to live in the world while also figuring out what they need, what they understand and what to do when things don't go to plan.
Puppy Foundations Board + Train is designed to give your puppy a strong foundation for everyday life while helping them develop confidence, appropriate routines and important early skills.
During their stay, I focus on building the foundations your puppy needs to become a happy, confident and well-rounded companion, while giving you the guidance you need to continue that progress at home.
You're bringing home a puppy and want to get started on the right foot.
You want support with the early stages of training rather than waiting until frustrating habits become established.
You want your puppy to learn in a calm, structured environment while developing confidence and good everyday habits.
You want to understand how to continue their training once they're home with you.
Examples of the types of foundations covered may include:
Basic obedience and communication
Calm behaviour and settling
Appropriate routines
Loose-leash walking
Confidence building
Everyday manners
Exposure to appropriate environments and experiences
Age-appropriate socialisation
Building positive training habits

You're dealing with everyday behaviours that are making life more difficult.
Your dog needs more consistency with their existing training.
You want better manners at home, on walks or out in the world.

You want professional guidance without treating your dog like a problem that needs to be "fixed."
Examples may include:
Loose-leash walking
Recall
Place and settling
Impulse control
Greeting manners
Boundaries
Everyday obedience
Focus and engagement
Confidence
Appropriate behaviour in real-life environments
My job is to build skills with your dog, but your role is just as important. Once your dog comes home, you'll need to understand what they've learned, how to communicate clearly and how to keep those behaviours consistent in your everyday life.
That's why owner education and communication are such an important part of my approach. I don't want you wondering what to do next. I want you to feel confident continuing the work together.
Leaving your dog while you're away can be difficult, especially when you know they do better with a familiar routine, individual attention and someone who understands their behaviour.
Trainer-Led Boarding offers a more personal alternative to traditional boarding. Your dog stays in a home-based environment where I can provide thoughtful care, structure, enrichment and attention throughout their stay.
This isn't about putting every dog through a training programme while you're away. It's about giving your dog a safe, comfortable and supportive place to stay, with the added benefit of having a professional dog trainer overseeing their care.
You're going away and want your dog to stay somewhere personal and comfortable.
Your dog does better with individual attention rather than a busy kennel environment.
You want someone with professional dog training experience caring for your dog.
You want their normal routines and needs to be understood and respected while you're away.
You'd feel more comfortable knowing your dog is staying with someone who knows how to read their behaviour and respond appropriately.
Depending on your dog's individual needs and the service agreed upon, their stay may include:
Home-based boarding
Personalized daily care and attention
Pick-up and drop-off (where arranged)
Daily exercise
Photo and video updates
Ongoing reinforcement of manners and training
Structured routines
Socialization where appropriate
Comfortable sleeping arrangements
Enrichment activities
Placement at the most appropriate home-based boarding location as determined by Kasia's K9 Academy
My services are a good fit if you see your dog as part of the family and you're willing to be involved in their growth. You want honest guidance rather than someone promising a quick fix, and you're open to learning what your dog is communicating and how you can support them.
You want someone who will listen to your concerns, answer your questions and adapt their approach to your dog rather than forcing them into a programme that doesn't make sense for them.
Most importantly, you care about doing things properly and want a trainer who genuinely cares about your dog too.
01 — GET IN TOUCH
Tell me a little about your dog, what you're experiencing and what you're looking for.
02 — INITIAL BEHAVIOUR ASSESSMENT
We'll talk through your dog's needs, history, personality and goals so I can understand the bigger picture.
03 — FIND THE RIGHT SERVICE
I'll recommend the service that makes the most sense for your dog and talk you through what to expect.
04 — WE GET TO WORK
Once everything is agreed, we'll get started with a clear plan and ongoing communication throughout the process.
Every new client starts with an Initial Behaviour Assessment. This gives me the opportunity to understand your dog, learn more about what you're looking for and determine which service is the right fit.
That depends on your dog's age, current skills, needs and your goals. Puppy Foundations is designed for puppies building their early foundations, while Everyday Manners is designed for dogs who need more reliable everyday skills. We'll discuss this during your assessment.
Not necessarily. Every dog is assessed individually, and I'll only recommend a service if I believe it's appropriate for your dog and the environment they're staying in.
You'll receive guidance on how to continue building on the skills your dog has been working on. The goal is for you to feel confident continuing the training at home rather than relying on me to do it for you.
No. Trainer-Led Boarding is primarily a boarding and care service. Your dog receives personalised care and attention from a professional dog trainer, but they are not automatically enrolled in a Board + Train programme.
Depending on your dog's needs and availability, additional training may be added to a boarding stay. We'll discuss what is appropriate during the booking process.
Yes. Additional services may be available depending on your dog's needs, your chosen service and availability. These are discussed and agreed upon before the stay.
Due to the home-based nature of my services, I am not currently accepting dogs displaying aggressive behaviour towards people. Your dog's safety and the safety of everyone in my care always come first.
I work with dog owners across Niagara and the Greater Toronto Area, including the four surrounding regional municipalities: Peel, York, Halton, and Durham. If you're unsure whether you're within my service area, get in touch and ask.
Simply get in touch and tell me a little about your dog and what you're looking for. From there, we'll arrange your Initial Behaviour Assessment and work out the best next step.
